In some cases the ingredients are listed on the label; in other cases the manufacturers have kindly responded to requests for information. Some manufacturers offer complete disclosure, that is, 100% of the contents are listed. Some products only list partial contents while still others list only the active ingredient. We also recognize that some manufacturers are reluctant to disclose full ingredients for proprietary reasons. In a few cases the products have been independently tested by third party certifying agencies.

2. Not all chemicals are created equally. There can be a significant difference in such factors as toxicity, persistence in the environment and breakdown products;
   
   
3. There may exist conflicting scientific reports concerning ingredient safety and not all ingredients have undergone equivalent testing.
