How to Shop the Healthy Home Services Website:
We designed our website to make your shopping experience as straightforward
and easy to use as possible.
To make a product selection simply enter a room and click on any product
listed. The first time you click the "buy" button to purchase a product, we
will ask you where we should ship your order. This allows us to calculate
the specific taxes and shipping rates for you while you shop. Then your
selections will be added to the shopping list which stays on screen at all
times while you shop and can be modified at any time.
To see your final total including shipping and taxes, just click the "Checkout" button.
(Please keep in mind that we calculate our shipping costs by weight as well
as destination. For further details on shipping check out Shipping
Information.)
Once you have completed your order, fill out your details on the Checkout page and click the
"Review Order" button at the bottom of the page. You will have one more chance to make sure that
the information you have input is correct before you submit your order. Once you have submitted your
order, you will receive an e-mail with the details of your order and a confirmation number for reference
purposes.

Re-ordering Made Easy!
We wanted to make it easy to re-order with us so we added a couple of features we think you’ll like. First, after you order with us once, we remember all your shipping information so that you never have to re-input this information again unless you need to make a change.
Secondly, we remember your last order so that when you come back to re-order, you don’t need to go through the rooms to find those same items from your last purchase. You simply change the quantity in your past shopping list from 0 to the number you want to re-order. This means if you just want to re-order old favourites you can be in and out of the site with just a few clicks. We value your time as much as you do!

Payment Options
All prices are in Canadian dollars. For U.S. and International orders, the total cost of the order will be converted to your local currency by the credit card company and reflected on your statement. On-line and phone orders are payable by VISA or MasterCard. If you
prefer to pay by mail, send a certified cheque or money order with your order in Canadian funds only.
Sales Taxes
Tax calculations in Canada include 7% GST applied to the following provinces - British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec. An additional 8% is added to Ontario residents for PST. Residents of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland are subject to 15% HST.
U.S. and International orders are not taxed.
Filling Your Order
We typically process orders within 48 hours of receipt. If you select our standard shipping arrangements, Canadian orders are received approximately 3 to 7 days after processing and U.S. orders after 7 to14 days. Customs clearance on U.S. orders may cause delays.
Backorders
Many of our suppliers and manufacturers are smaller companies committed to producing healthy products in an environmentally sustainable fashion. This occasionally results in delays and backorders. While the wait will be worthwhile, we will notify you by e-mail or phone if an item is not in stock and take your instructions about filling the order.
Returns and Refunds
If you need to return a product, please do so within 30 days of receipt of purchase. Return products in their original condition to Healthy Home Services Inc., 1054 Centre St., Ste. #196, Thornhill, Ontario L4J 8E5, include a copy of the payment and original invoice in the shipment and let us know if you want a refund, replacement or credit note. Shipping charges are refunded for damaged or defective items only.
We do not offer returns or refunds on custom orders, tinted paints or stains or consumable items that have been opened. However, if a product is not performing as expected, please call our customer service line so we can explain application options.
U.S. Customers
We are very happy to serve our American customers. The current exchange rate offers a clear advantage to purchasing from our site. We also are pleased to offer specialized products from Canadian manufacturers that may not be readily available in the U.S.

Security
We know people have concerns about shopping on-line. We did too before we learned more about e-commerce. Did you know that it can be more dangerous to give your credit card to a waiter than it is to send your number over the internet??
We use the safest internet features available. Orders placed on our site are protected by Netscape's SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), provided by VeriSign. This protocol was originally developed by Netscape Communications and has now become an industry standard. Netscape SSL will encrypt all your personal information (name, address, and credit card number) to keep it safe and inaccessible on its way to our ordering system.
In addition, for added security precautions, we destroy your credit card information from our records once your order has been fulfilled. This means you will be required to re-input your credit card information with each order, but we think the extra security precaution makes up for this inconvenience.
Privacy
We take customer privacy very seriously. We do not sell, borrow or give
away any customer data to anyone at anytime. After your first order, we
protect your data by asking you for
your e-mail address and a password. Once you sign in on each subsequent
visit, your data is used to remember your tax and shipping rates, your
shipping address and your last order if you choose.
Keeping in Touch
We like to keep in touch with our customers. We like to tell you about new
products, pass on information about environmental issues and give helpful
hints about making your house a safer place. Many of our customers have
requested that we send them this info by e-mail instead of paper. We
welcome the opportunity to use the World Wide Web as a strategy for more
enviro-friendly communication. If you wish to be added to our mailing
list, simply click on the box in the order form that asks you if you wish
to receive e-mail notices. We understand that sometimes inboxes can get out
of control, so at the bottom of every e-mail we send are easy to follow
instructions to remove your e-mail address from our list.
