We typically work from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM but will take calls outside of our normal working hours. If we do not pick up, please leave us a message and we will return your call at the earliest possible time. 

We take on any type of drywall job from the beginning stages of hanging the sheets, all the way to the finish with a final coat of paint. No job is too large or too small for us and we will always aim to give you a reasonable price for the work we do. 

The typical range of drywall installation costs is $1-$3/sq foot. The average of course is $2. The cost of your drywall installation job will depend on a few factors that one of our contractors will be happy to discuss with you over a free estimate. However, if you can figure out the square footage of the work area, then you can get a general idea of what your job will cost specifically.  

Drywall has the same purpose as plaster, to give the wall a strong, smooth surface at the end of the project. However, they are drastically different in their consistency, workability, and convenience. Plaster has generally not been used for about 50 years now, as drywall sheets, and compound have proven to be far superior in terms of the ease of use and the reduction of the mess that was typically created when using plaster.  

The same drywall that is used on the walls is great for the ceiling. However, if you're working on drywalling a ceiling yourself, then you have the option of getting slightly thinner sheets which will make the installation process a little bit easier. The best way to install drywall ceilings is to use a drywall jack that holds the sheets in place as you properly position the sheet and screw in the initial screws. 

There is specialized drywall that you'll need to use in the bathroom. According to the building codes, the drywall in your bathroom has to be resistant to moisture so that mold doesn't grow. Drywall for bathrooms is coloured green and is often referred to as green board. Greenboard is generally only used in bathrooms and areas where there is potential exposure to moisture. 

Numerous drywall compounds are made for different purposes. However, your go-to will be an All-Purpose drywall compound. You can get varying degrees of thickness, and drying time depending on what you need at that moment. For drastic repair jobs, we will often use Sheetrock 90 which dries within a couple of hours and is much stronger than pre-mixed compound.  In some finishing and skim coat cases, we will use a lighter compound that dries much quicker and applies thinner.
